Ryan Felton.

Ryan Felton.

If any of the shit I heard about how a couple of the bands don't even know one another really and that they straight up said no to a band who jokingly asked about being in on "the wave" and they said no, it's only friends is true then the whole thing is completely lame. Regardless, I think it's pretty fucking corny.

If it doesn't have long hair, is covered in pentagram's and wears cow boy boots you're expected to not like it.

I'll just say that I was talking to the singer from TOUCHE AMORE and he thought the BAD BRAINS were from LA...I just nodded and agreed with him.

Glad a band like that is leading the "LAST GREAT WAVE OF HxC".

What is this about? I've seen it mentioned on here before... and am confused. Did these bands say that about themselves??

Touche Amore, Defeater, Make Do, Pianos Become the Teeth, and La Dispute (think thats all of em), refer to themselves as "The Last Great Wave of Music". They have a shirt that I tried looking for but was unsuccessful.

Suspect ..yeah, right.

I've yet to see any of those bands imply that they're better than any other band or use the phrase "The last great wave of hardcore/music", maybe ya'll have seen something I haven't...There could be worse.

I'm not going to say much more in regards to this...

So in other words you are defending somthing that you aren't really sure happened or not...good to know where you stand.

And I don't see how it could be worse unless they put "we rape women" on their shirts.

It was 5 years ago. you gave it to me at that hall show in Ray. Back when you distro'd shows still, I miss that. There was always a big connection between the two bands namely since they shared the same songwriter, Gavin Van Vlack, on guitar, Chaka Malik molded his vocals and front man style after Djinji Brown's and he also put out the infamous New Breed Tape Comp which featured Absolution's first recording and possibly their most well known song.
