New site for all things hardcore and punk in Metro Detroit (Including a show calendar!)

Put me firmly in the camp of people who prefer the old Michigan Hardcore show listings. That would be pretty easy to recreate. Stylistically, this page looks like it predates Michigan Hardcore by about 10 years...hideous! I appreciate the efforts, though.

When all else fails, do it yourself! If you know someone who can do a better job stylistically/ has time for that sort of thing, I'm welcome to suggestions. Also, I'm not a goddamned artist, I'm a resource manager.

The calendar was updated over the weekend. Lots of new shows. Please check back often. Should be a little more cleaned up.

What do you mean? I downsized the calendar a little bit; I thought it looked a little bulky for the page.

Both of us made tons of updates this week, check out the new shows! Show info is constantly updated as well so if bands drop, venues change etc. we are on top of it and the most accurate, current info for a show is what you see in the calendar! Thanks for everyone's support.

The calendar has not been able to load when I've gone to update it the past week or so. I have no idea what the problem is but hopefully it will be fixed soon. I don't know if you guys used a personal gmail account for the calendar, but I'd love the capability to have access to the account's google calendar from the google calendar page. I'm not a google calendar "power user" (for lack of better term), but I just added a few shows via the detroit punk calendar page and the amount of pop ups it opens gets a little annoying.

I know, just a minor detail, but just one thing to add for consideration.

Uhh... you did? Only Andrew and I have access to the calendar, as it's something you have to log in to the calendar to add to. You can e-mail him or I and we'll probably add the shows for you, but only him and I can actually add shows to the calendar. What was it that you did, or thought you did, just out of curiosity?

More new stuff posted on the calendar! Most everything is up to date on the bands/ venues tabs too, and if it isn't, tell me.

You know, I THOUGHT you were the one behind this but never actually knew. I've been using this site for a couple months at least now. Awesome job Andrew and seriously, thank you for the resources. Perfect for anyone in a band in this state.

Thanks Rob, I'm glad you appreciate the resources. Dave handles all the website stuff and he and I collaborate on the calendar together.

this seems to be great for detroit oriented people. just wish someone would do the same for us west (and north) siders..........

For the west side of the state, there's www.grscreamer.com. Also, I try to list bands for the whole state, but I have not been up in the U.P. yet, so someone would have to do that on their own. And Grand Rapids gets pretty well-noticed, in my opinion.

Shit tons of new updates to the calendar. The state looks packed for shows for the next couple of months, between the Launch Board Shop shows/ Ann Arbor in general, some killer shows in Oakland County, some stuff going on at Frankie's, and the Municipal Waste/GWAR/Ghoul/Legacy of Disorder show in Toledo.

Lots of updates, keep up to date, check the calendar often and send us your shows if you want them up there!

There have been many updates to the calendar in the last 2 weeks. Please check it often. Spreading the word about the site on facebook and tumblr would be a great help to us as well.

Just updated the shit outta this just now. Lots of new shows posted, a good amount of them not at bars or clubs or what have you. Maybe Michigan DIY is on a resurgence of sorts, temporary or not.
