I just saw them this past weekend in Syracuse and they were fucking terrible. I love this band, Lens is 1 of my favorite records of the past 5 years but they cannot pull it off live at all and I'm anticipating I will be un-interested in this new record of theirs. I hate to say it but don't waste your time or money going to see them.

Yeah, I really think it had to of just been an off day for them. They've been beyond good every time I've seen them.

I've seen 'em 5 times now and every time I've thought it was sub-par. The band is usually pretty good but I've yet to see Chris pull off the vocals live and I've always felt he has weird stage presence. Plus he doesn't say a word about the songs or anything other than merch which is a huge waste in my opinion as Lens has some of the best lyrics I've ever read.

They must be a band that's on and off depending on the night. I think the singer's super good live and every time I've seen them he's pulled off the vocals. I definitely don't consider it a waste that he doesn't talk about the songs live. Some people/singers just aren't into that thing and maybe he doesn't like talking in front of crowds. Doesn't take away from the songs for me at all.
