Hey everyone, just to clarify anyone is welcome and encouraged to bring the food they want (vegan or not) to the events on Sun. and I hope you all find that there's some really amazingly delicious food out there that you may not have tried before and encourage you to do so.

If anyone wants to bring some vegan dishes but isn't sure of what to make or how to make something vegan I'd be happy to give you some recipes and ideas if you'd like. http://www.vegweb.com is a great source. I'm sure Jessica Hunt would be more than willing to help as well. Anything can be made vegan surprisingly, we're not confined to lettuce and seeds by any means so please keep that in mind.

how did everyone feel about this movie?

i thought it was decent, but i didn't like some of the editing, and i didn't like how it ended, it seemed really abrupt. i enjoyed the ian mackaye parts a lot. "Tell your friend I say, "Fuck You."

I enjoyed it, I learned a lot and saw a lot that I already was familiar with. I never smoked a joint because I had to cope with a hard event in my life, and I never drank because I couldn't deal with something, and I felt like they focused a lot on that but whatever a lot of people do use that shit to cope with struggles.

i agree with coleman.

it also seemed that have heart was the only band from today that they showed. but it's a tough topic to cover in an hour and a half or two hours.

overall good movie, and those dudes were super nice and down to earth.

it was pretty good, i didnt really like the segments inbetween the interviews, with the guy highlighting sentences and whatnot

The Ian Mackaye interview made my life. Also I personally liked the segues where the guy was "researching" Straight Edge and Hardcore, like it was kind of from a view of somebody outside of this realm, and hopefully people like that see this film as I think it shows a more realistic view of this scene as opposed to the National Geographic special.

Only gripe I have is I wish there were interviews with dudes from like In My Eyes, Ten Yard Fight, Floorpunch and Trial so that the mid-late 90's was covered more completely. Plus an interview with either Mike Judge or Porcell would have been nice as well to cover the late 80's more.

Agreed. I especially wish that they interviewed Greg Bennick.
