Four scores and 367 years ago, I walked into weird ass spot on Division St. in the Grand Raggidy right down the street from the kewlest record shop in all the land, Vertigo called something totally weird like THE DAAC or something - totally awesome spot - Heard there was gonna be some grind there - Totally smelled real bad but in that good way. Me being like 17 and impressionable and high and mighty with my liking of DEP and early NxDx was like 'Shit man - I don't know one band or kid at this weird ass spot - but I'm diving in head first like an ostrich son!' Needless to say - that show was one of the early MICHIGAN MELTDOWN'S and arguably my first 'real punk' show or whatever that means..met a beautiful boy named Sock, got some tapes and a Merkit 7" - woah! it ruled so hard, that I've been going to the DAAC and showing up at smelly shows ever since.

FAST FWD - In short kiddos, MICHIGAN MELTDOWN CHANGES LIVES
Here we have no. 8 in this infamous and totally mandatory series. Every year the ante is upped and it's always a showcase of some of the most INTENSE pummeling shit Michigan and beyond has to offer.
But PEEP this - not only are killer Michigan + USA bands on this year - but we have Ressurectionist's related band all the way from Germany - REPUBLIC OF DREAMS coming through = MASSIVE!!
And while tradition has had these shin-digs @ the daac - this year it's at none other than THE SUICIDE HOUSE - which has been promised to include the most killing skate ramp of all time in the backyard - so that means bring yo' skate gear and a deck ya'll cuz it goes shred jam jam shred -
Plus - cuz punk rock totally isn't noisy enough - TOP power electronics and noise acts will be throwing down in the GaRaGe while 'bands' play inside the HouSe - we essentially have TWO 'stages' this year so it'll go boom boom boom - don't miss out on anyone though cuz this is one for the history books that you can read to your 3 yr old adopted children while the sun collapses into the Earth! Excellent!
