I take back my previous statement. New Jersey - Worst state ever. Sorry Ohio.

New Jersey - Lifetime. Bruce Springsteen. Bon Jovi.
Ohio - Drew Carey.

New Jersey > Ohio.

Ohio can never be forgiven for Drew Carey.

Not even for Trent Reznor, Halle Berry, Devo, Bone Thugs and Chimaira?

Jeffrey Dahmer, Charles Manson, and Mushroomhead came from your state. Yuck.

New Jersey > Ohio.

I don't know that comparing three horrible things with one horrible thing helped your argument.

I'm in Okemos outside of East Lansing right now, and I'd give my left nut to get back there.

I like Okemos. I like the areas surrounding Lansing.

I imagine we all have different ideas about what makes a good town. Mine never involves hardcore.

I'm really not knocking Okemos. My main complaint is that everyone here is the same. White, straight and boring. I miss the diversity I had in BG and Akron. Plus, alllll my friends and family are still back in Ohio.

I didn't think I'd ever hear somebody refer to BG as diverse.

And yes, I realize the University does a good job recruiting a diverse body of students.

If BG is diverse than I would hate to see where you're talking about.

I think he was referring to the wide range of STDs at BG.

Also, people whining about Ohio, come visit me in the seventh layer of hell... Columbus. This place is a shithole and I'm convinced that it falls under the Mason-Dixon line.

I suppose I'm talking more about BGSU campus. And don't even get me started on that ancient and misinformed STD thing. It's like the burning river jokes in Cleveland. We get it. It happened 30 years ago, it's over.

As for Columbus, I totally feel you on that. Some of the towns in Mid-Ohio could be the capital of West Virginia or Kentucky.

Dude your crazy I was just down there a couple weeks ago. I was so stoked, went shopping at Dreadful Sounds dropped about a $100 on records, went to Rags-O-Rama found an old as GBH shirt for $5, ate dinner at Hal&Al's Bar (all vegan bar, amazing), and hit up PattyCakes vegan bakery. Plus NukkeHammer is from there, place is alright with me.

Nukkehammer is/was cool although I heard they were done. Dreadful Sounds gets pricey. Hal and Al's was nice for shows but something went sour.

Overall, I'm not complaining about the scene down here. I don't actively participate in it. But the town on the other hand, I complain about daily. I'd honestly like to see an alternate universe where Ohio State University shut down and these morons wouldn't have any reason to drink at 4AM on a Saturday in a parking lot waiting for a game to start at 3:30PM.

I thought the prices at Dreadful sounds was pretty good, the only reason I spent that much was because I dropped over $40 on a Unleashed Live in Vienna Diehard Edition 12" with the bonus 7". I thought the records were reasonable and they has good shit. With all that said Go Bucks!!! Drink all you want as long as they smash the Wolverines!!!
