Been down there three or four times now- the area is fine, mostly. It's a little out there from most civilization, and those that do live around there haven't been a problem before. Just lock your car, don't keep anything valuable visible, the usual bullshit. You'll be fine.

It was a real good time. Everyone in Hoax were super nice. The apartment was really full and everyone played great. Really glad we got to play that show.
