In GRs defense, even though I only like a handful of kids from there, I show like this doesnt exactly just attract your regular crowd that goes to shows. kids come out of no where for bands like these and those are the kids that start trouble.

I didnt see any of this stuff happen, but I definitely agree that this show pulled weird kids out of nowhere. I saw tons of kids I've never seen in my life, even kids wearing like Mother of Mercy shirts and stuff, so not just kids who are definitely douche bags.

But yah, kids were really dumb all around, but I still had tons of fun at this show. Comeback Kid was tons of fun in my opinion. And MDAM and Title Fight played really sweet sets. Definitely worth it.

The only good thing I like to come out of Grand Rapids is the dudes in Damages. Love them, hate everything and everyone else.

I love the city, but the scene here is generally fucking dumb. I'm not surprised that kids came out of the wood work for this, nor am I surprised that it's still "acceptable" to show everyone how big your dick is by swinging on people that won't hit you back.

With the way this city is, there are always new jack kids showing up trying to emulate what they saw in an On Broken Wings video or something. Also, it's another huge reason why going to shows at the Mixtape is fucking dumb. A lot of these kids are tourists who only know about that one venue. To say, 'fuck the scene' as a whole is the wrong attitude to have. 'Fuck those kids' is the right one.

It's weird to me that edge moshing still happens at all, to be perfectly honest. It's like being at a show in 2005 all over again whenever I go to a show where shit like that goes on.
