I really think people who just never listened to them decided to check it out cause so many people have talked good things about them and after listening decided they didn't like it and voiced their opinion. Then people who liked them and still do get super irritated.

2. I like Defeater, just a little let down with the new album. The last 4 songs are great, though.

I wasn't referring to anything in this thread specifically (and I don't think comparing them to Underoath is bashing them, so I'm definitely not referring to you). Defeater isn't even a frequently listened to band for me. It's just hilarious to me that, in hardcore, bands are hyped non-stop and then when they actually blow up people either abandon what they said previously or begin to bash them because it is now accepted, but didn't mention their dislike when the band was cool. See: Trash Talk, Ceremony, The Mongoloids, etc.

I get what you're saying but internet talk is stupid. I don't really know anything like this personally besides Derrick Daniel blatantly telling me Expire sucks at first and not he's super into them ( )
I wish I was any band that got disregarded on the internet as much as the bands you had listed. They all got ridiculous reactions last time through town.

I completely agree. I'll never understand hardcore (kids). I just don't know how so many kids can jock The Mongoloids, one of the worst bands in hardcore, then all coincidentally stop liking them at the same time. Just an observation that I know isn't new.
