i don't have the convo. i saw a few parts of it. it seemed more like idiocy on both parts.

I don't have it anymore, but in a nutshell he said that that this scene is only for social status and that we shun anyone new who comes. Also, that going to local shows is stupid because we have already seen the bands numerous times. He also says that going to shows and talking with people that go to the same shows is stupid and trendy. Oh and we shouldn't come to shows to support the bands because we aren't their charity fund, and some other really stupid stuff. Has anyone ever seen David Tucker at shows to talk shit about it?

He told me I was a sell out because of breaking edge and only going to interaction with the scene and that I'm not about the music.

I mean this in no offensive way to anyone, but I'd rather break edge like I did and be totally responsible then "de-claim" and blame it on the scene that he isn't apart of.

i see where davids coming from. its not for everyone. he doesnt feel the need to go to shows so he just doesnt, listening to the music is good enough for him, its whatever. and for the whole not claiming edge ordeal, if he doesnt feel like he is doing it for himself, then why would he continue? i mean, isnt that whats most important about straight edge? being edge for YOURSELF and no one else. Just because he isnt edge doesnt mean he is going to go out and do a line of coke. Punk and hardcore to me was always about what feels right for myself. It just so happened that being straight edge was right for me, and the bands i listen to were right for me. not me trying to be right for hardcore or straightedge.If it isnt right for him than it isnt right for him. I like David Tucker. He is a super smart kid and has alot of potential in life. If hardcore wasnt doing anything for him, and the kids that surrounded him made hardcore out to be something that it wasnt, than so be it.

Not everyone is the same, and not everyones views are the same. And David was never talking about anyone on this board when he explains his views, because almost everyone on this board does it for themselves. Him and i have had this conversation plenty of times. It justs whatever. This thread seems more like a personal blow to me.

Actually, yes there is a Ryan Hordust post. But its not a bunch of people dogging some kid for selling out or whatever. Who cares? The kid has different views than you.

naw im not quite sure of that. why dont we just laugh together? i think anyone posting in this thread should go post in the michigan summer hardcore fest thread, i know everyone has great ideas and i think they should put them out there.
