why is lansing getting these shows, are thr turnouts better than the detroit area or promoters just trying to mix it up ??

Trapped Under Ice, Backtrack, Naysayer, Fire & Ice, Born Low, and Out Crowd will team up for a brief October tour, featuring stops in both the U.S. and Canada. Dates are as follows:

I'm guessing its a fusion show. Some of my friends in bermuda mohawk productions collaborated with fusion and are now bringing bigger punk/hardcore shows like that converge show and defeater and stuff like that to lansing/grand rapids/pontiac more. The shows at the loft usually have really good turnouts and that venue has a good sound system and no barriers so it should be a good time.

My guess is that Fusion Shows can offer more money. I chalk it up to a booking agent thing. It is somewhat surprising that Black Iris hasn't gotten a few of the recent tour packages that have come through Lansing in Detroit instead since they've booked all of those bands in the past. The bands in question may have new booking agents or they have better relationships with Fusion Shows. Black Iris could not have Detroit area venues available on the dates in question, or it could just be money/interest.
