Here is our latest distro update, we got in some real good stuff. I listed decriptions for some of my favorite stuff we got in this update. Below that you will see everything we got in these last 2 weeks and below that you will see the vinyl we put on sale this month.
- V/A THE PHILADELPHIA SOUND 10 inch (Clear Vinyl, Last Copies)
This compilation features some of the best Philly hardcore bands. Their unique sounds pick up where KID DYNAMITE and LIFETIME left off-somewhere between the hardness of New York's SICK OF IT LL and the heartfelt urgency of Richmond's AVAIL. This Record features tracks from KINVES OUT (x Boy Sets Fire, American Nightmare, Paint it Black, & Damage. Released records on Death Wish), THE CURSE (x Paint it Black, Kill the man who Questions, Step Ahead & The Loved Ones), GO! FOR THE THROAT, and PAINT IT BLACK (x Kid Dynamite). As you can see these bands are mostly all star line ups and should not be for gotten. This has been OUT OF PRINT for some time now and on limited Clear Vinyl.
- FIRES & FLOODS - The Voice at Your Heels LP (2 Different Colors Available)
Featuring Rob Fusco of One King Down and Most Precious Blood on vocals as well as members of Shai Hulud, Widowmaker, Dark Day Drawing, and more. Fires and Floods play a brand of metallic hardcore that is fast and melodic but throws in elements of Slayer and Integrity. LP includes digital download.
- ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT - All Systems Go 2 Double LP
Swami Recordings first release and a bona fide smash. Guaranteed to prove to be barely larger than the cracks that threaten to swallow it up and bury it in obscurity. All Systems Go 2 is a 25-track collection culled from 13 different recording sessions over 8 years. Most of the tracks are making their digital debut, only having been released in the forms of limited vinyl runs or rare b-sides and compilations on labels such as Merge and Elemental. Two never-before-released songs are included. Many feel that RFTC's first collection of singles (All Systems Go) included many of the band's finest moments. All Systems Go 2 follows in this tradition of capturing every facet of RFTC's sound. From ghetto box no-fi recordings to ELO-inspired orchestrated punk, All Systems Go 2 is a 71-minute relentless rollercoaster of exciting and contrasting sounds. It should be noted that those still unconvinced of RFTC's greatness will probably have no change in opinion upon hearing this release. THIS IS OUT OF PRINT AND HARD TO FIND. These are some of the last copies around!
