Long as someone's using it. I have no idea if this actually gets put to use or if it's just there for mine and Andrew's amusement.

We use it and at the end of te day that's all that matters. But I would like to think that it's a useful resource for others too.

I know The Blind Pig isn't an all ages venue and at least used to be very strict about that. There's been a few hardcore shows there randomly throughout the years that I've been aware of but one has not happened there in quite some time. Haven't heard of anything cool happening there period in a while either. I like the place though and I fully support more shows happening in Ann Arbor, regardless of the venue.

Same here. It's a bummer living here and not having shit to go to in regards to anything punk or hardcore. However, Slaves played a show on the 6th at this bar in Ypsi that used to be Screaming Eagle and is now Crossroads and it was fucking wild. Turnout was about 10x what I was expecting and the show ended up being super solid. I was speaking to the owner, Jesse, who's renovated the entire bar and has a shit ton of plans that he's got for the place in the next couple of months, and because this show went super well, he's going to start booking more there.

Basically, what I'm getting at is I'm going to talk to this dude and book a couple shows as a test run, since I've never booked shit in my life besides a show in my bedroom. Depending on how well that goes, this is could be a solid new place. His only rule he had when I talked to him was "as long as my walls don't get fucked up, get as wild as you want." The guy knows what's up. Only problem we had was there was no P.A. and apparently the person booking didn't care to mention that or figure that out, and he was expecting a band to bring it. We ended up getting a bad ass P.A. last minute from one of the bands, but that won't be an issue in the future. So yeah, I'll try to keep everyone posted on this place, if anyone cares, because there are a lot of good bands in the Ypsi/Arbor area that can't even play their own home because any venue is overcrowded with consistent folk and indie pop bullshit shows. And plus it'd be nice to get some good shows going in this area. I can't fucking stand not having anything to do besides go to the same 2 bars.

Oh yeah, and hopefully Launch will start doing more shows. That's a sweet place for shows.

Dale told me he's going to try to make more Launch shows happen, @dale_do on twitter. I'm all for doing whatever I personally can do to help make more Launch shows happen too.
