GODDAMN reunion show/LP

the GODDAMN! reunion/LP fundraiser show is set..
Atlas Bar in Hamtramck, Sat. August 13th.

if you don't know, Goddamn was around in 2005-2007 roughly, and played a brand of hardcore/punk that wasn't too prevalent in Detroit at the time. i think they were/are one of the shining gems from this past decade, who never released anything except a demo. well, they have an LP recorded, as well as tons of other lost tracks which i'm going to help them put out finally..the 12'' LP will include a download code for their entire discography. this is their first show in years, and the door money will go towards helping make this LP a reality..they deserve the recognition, they're a great band and awesome guys.

Typical of a lot of great Detroit bands they were more appreciated elsewhere. One of the best shows I ever saw was with those tools. I miss being their road lackey.

the goddamn! stuff I remember was more poppy than the stuff posted. I never checked them out because of that, but the song from the LP is pretty good.

poppy? not really..even the demo was pretty fast and mean, just worse quality. but yeah, the LP/unreleased stuff is even more so.

I think I have every recorded piece they ever did, minus the final recordings for the LP which they have all been swearing to give me for five years or some shit ahahah.

everything thats not the LP is gonna be up for download. the demo, the lost 7'', the junked recordings. i think thats it..i have everything they gave me, shouldnt be anymore. its about 40ish tracks including the LP.
but hey, i was gonna ask if ya wanna do something for the LP, John..a retrospective, i guess. youre punk-nerd enough to do em right in words, plus you toured with em, and love their band. let me know.

Yeah I have both demos and the original LP junk recordings. Around 30 songs or so from 3 different recording sessions. Sorry I didn't get back to you about helping out with this shit. Brett asked me maybe a month and a half ago to do some liner notes. I agreed. I have no clue what to say or perhaps what angle to take ha. I will mull that over with them. See what they want out of it.
Anything else I can help with just let me know. I will promote either way. I might try to contribute in other ways. Now that BBM dropped the show though, I do highly agree with Endtrails and also adding UDI or Final Assault on the bill. That would make it a 4 band bill and UDI or Final Assault will probably draw, like GD and fit well with the line up.

I was just looking at this thread the other day and wondering what happened.
