I do a radio show at the university of Windsor and we broadcast throughout the Windsor Detroit area. It's a non profit/non commercial radio station.
My show is called the Best Show Ever and I play mostly new material from all different punk related genres. Check out my blog to check out setlists and downloadable shows to see if you may be interested. thebestshowevercjam.blogspot.com
This week we have put up a ballot on our main website www.cjam.ca for our annual jammy awards. If you are interested, could you fill out a ballot and vote for my show. It's in the best punk/hard rock category near the bottom of the ballot. also a direct link here: http://jammies.cjam.ca/index.php?sid=31468
I need all the help I can get to win this thing. For some reason they put a non punk/hardcore/metal show in this category. That show, hosted by the paisleys, is one of the longest running and most popular shows on cjam. Basically, they are a ringer and are screwing all the actual punk/hardcore/metal shows out of any recognition.
Please help and please check out the station. We've been around for over 25 years and have been the only uncensored voice in the media for a very long time.
We are also always looking for new volunteers (especially michigan ones) to help at the station, including doing shows live on air with topics and music of their own choosing.

There are actually a few in that list not from Michigan, but that's okay. The only Michigan band that matters is CARCRASH anyhow.

You're so lucky that it's your station is uncensored. It's so annoying to make sure if songs are clean or not.

Yeah, we just have to make a listener discretion advisory. Sometimes when I'd do a graveyard shift I'd play Bill Hicks.

I posted about CJAM here awhile ago. I really enjoy hearing good static-y music when I'm headed to Detroit for school.

we're in the process of strengthening the signal. We've had a bit of trouble with a station in wallaceberg and had to fight them for a while. All the shows are available on the main webside in the program guide. just have to click on the right day and show and date of the program you want to download.
