i always assumed it was someone random that made it, not someone who actually knew what hardcore music is, theyve been paying for that url for a long time.

I think it was waaay back around the year 2000 when someone failed to renew it and the domain subsequently dropped. I was relatively new to Detroit after taking a job with an internet porn company based there. Coming from an area with relatively few hardcore shows Detroit blew my friggin mind. Was going to what seemed like a couple shows a week for the better part of a couple of years. Then my job moved me to Prague, which has a great hardcore scene. All the European acts always pass through, not that the Czechs themselves put out any good hardcore. And since they are up Germanys ass you get a lot of the German insanity. But I digress.

I dont know what I ever planned on doing with the domain. I just stuck it on a box and let it sit there. I stuck the goatse image on there because one day I got an email from that guy, or someone pretending to be him, looking for work and including a ton of pictures of him stretching and stuffing giant things into his ass. I took the one I liked the most and stuck it up there and just forgot about it. I would periodically use that url and email address on adult industry related forums so thats how it spread. I never checked its logs or anything as it was just one domain out of hundreds on that server. A couple years later I decided to check the referrer logs and saw that the site was getting several hundred uniques a day from just people doing what this thread was trying to do, namely making you regret clicking the link. It is #1 in google for Detroit Hardcore. heh. And since then Ive just sort of left it as is. Get drunk and add the occasional image, or the link to Tyrant.
