I just found this forum on a Web search and I really love the upcoming shows page. I'm moving to Michigan and am curious who are some of the best bands are locally - indie in general, but especially anything sludge(!), doom, grind, death, post/spacey stuff, etc.

Thanks for the tips. I listened to half of Cloudrat's unmastered LP, which is very nice. I also found a few other bands right in my wheelhouse - Beast in the Field especially.

I don't think my argument is null. I like Foundation and I like Discordance Axis. I'm not speaking for the entire hardcore population or the entire grindcore population. I'm just saying that a lot of the same people who go to hardcore shows probably don't go to grindcore shows and vice versa. I don't think it's that strange to think.
