thier best release IMO. i can up two more albums (one e.p. one full length) if needed.
let's talk about how much better than american nightmare this band was.

yes, the "what we built" and malfunction records 7's are awesome. the demo tape is fucking awesome too. im jocking this band really hard because they are one of my favorite. everything they have put out is amazing but i do like 110 more than permanent as well. this thread is backed.

I favor 110 in the long run. Permanent rules too, they both hit pretty close for me, although I'd say South Street would probably be my favorite song. Permanent has this rawness to it that is captured so well at times, but also comes off ALMOST cheap during some other parts of the record. I think We're Down 'Til We're Underground kills both of these lps though, in regards to comparing AN LP's to CMO LP's.

I have "Few And Far Between", "110" and "Permanent". What was the Malfunction 7"?

if you're talking lyric-wise, AN has no comparison. Wes has written some of the best break up/lonely lyrics.

far from close on 110

i see no point to comparing bands to AN, not because i prefer them over count me out, which i do. they were on top for multiple reasons, music, prior bands, lyrics, attitude, yadda yadda. seems like it comes down to AN a lot. there was a whole force that came with that band, even people who weren't too into hardcore were into them. it's funny now hearing stories about individual members and the pedestal people still put them on to this day (i'm still one of them). but it you don't get the gist of what i am trying to say, it's music, you like what you like.

It has sid and nancy on the front. Actually i think that is "few and far between" and It was malfunction's third release. what does yours have on the cover? I've seen the cd version of few and far between but i think it looks different.

One of the few core bands that put out two extremely awesome full-lengths. i want them to do a reunion super bad. i dont care if theyre not sxe anymore.

their post count me out bands, renee heartfelt and memorial are also very kick ass. for fans of quicksand/rival schools etc...

and Mojan gets a big thumbs DOWN for picking down til we're underground over background music and/or the s/t 7"
