no one in MI (aside from the obvious) cares about Earth Crisis.

It was not only the earth crisis set that surprised me, even Tyrant's. In Europe we see the US as the birthplace of hardcore hence we tend to think that shows are much more violent and intense when they are actually not.

When I was 15/16 I was once picked up and thrown by a dude I didnt know at a tyrant show at Alvins.

i remember walking into the tyrant/byd/let it die/suffocate faster show at alvins in 04 and the first thing i saw was a garbage can fly through the air and break the light above the soundboard.

tyrant shows are still out of control in other states too, when we played with them in cincinatti it was insane. everything that wasn't nailed down was flying through the air, including dave.

Before the stick had the patio and people could still sit where they put the merch at now, I was sitting on the railing watching and Dave threw one of the barstools into the crowd and it was inches from hitting me in the face. I had to do a matrix type maneuver to dodge it.

It was during a Suffocate Fasters set at Let It Dies last show, I think Tyrant played that.

crowd reactions got cooled down a bit cause it got to where we could not book a show anywhere cause people were fucking shit up and getting hurt not to mention jepordizing Ramona or Chris's shows from getting shut down, things still get rowdy when dudes aren't scared of getting wild, we played at the modern exchange not to long ago and it got real crazy

Just for the record I wasn't implying that shows in Michigan were lame, I simply think that we have a tendency to expect a lot from US shows and especially when a big local band plays.

... and also because (40% of) earth crisis deserved better.

I wish that show would of been at a smaller venue just not a big crowd for that venue and kids tend to spread out there and it can get real awkward.

I have the best flier from this show. Probably one of my favorite shows there. A lot of memories from this day.
