I will say not doing anything besides skate, eat, mosh, and sell gear was the best thing I could have done with All Hype.

Awe I disagree with the second half of this.

I'm more of a vacation guy myself. I take touring seriously and working with idiots and poor planning is never fun for me.

I understand. I was definitely far from being the band dad. Aside from a few sinker shows and shitty promoters, you know its generally a fun experience.. maybe?

I've been on a few tours and they've all been pretty successful. The most fun parts of tour end up being the things I would do if I were on vacation. Hurry up, wait around, hurry up, wait around...just not my idea of a good use of time.

But again, I take touring pretty seriously. I'm not doing it just because I can. I'm doing it because it's what I need a band to do and I'll treat it as a job. Every time I get back from a tour or something, I kind of look forward to going back to work.

That's just me, though.

I think Jake is coming across a little aloof. It was most certainly our job when we were touring. Obviously the role is a lot different for someone who is organizing / dealing with promoters, though.

I'm talking from my own perspective. Not Jake's or anyone else's.

I'm also not really big on turd bands touring (thanks Bob Suren), bands touring before they should, and people not caring in general, but that's another thread.

Anybody who has gotten back to me about vocals, I'll get back to you sometime within the week.

So Danny, the guy who was going to do bass, isn't exactly the most reliable guy when it comes to things like this. I've been texting him and messaging him on facebook telling him we have people who would be interested, but he's not replying. Plus, he's leaving for Europe in like three days. Realistically, this probably isn't going to happen. So I guess it's back to looking for open guitarist or vocalist positions.
