Ann Arbor punks?

i know there have to be SOME.

i'm new to ann arbor, but i get the impression that there are virtually no punk or metal things going on in AA. are there any houses/usual venues where good shows happen? regardless, are any of you from AA? The name's Matt, here.

It's a college town, so punks come and go. In the early 2000's, it was pretty active. Lots of bands and lots of venues.

Yea.. we are around but a bit scattered. Lots of kids have left town. Currently there are no "houses" to hang out at. Far House host shows. Mostly electronica/noise/experimental stuff. Once in a while there might be something a bit more punky.

There is a show there this Friday.

nope. I live on the Southeast side of Ann Arbor. Not far from Packard and Platt.

I've been curious about that place as well. I think there's a facebook page for the house somewhere.

I went out and got silly anyway. Worked til 6 with a hangover and 4 hours of sleep, totally worth it.
